Launch Angle

Launch Angle is the angle of departure in relation to the horizon.

Launch Angle is strongly related to the loft of the club. The launch angle will usually be slightly lower than the dynamic loft.

Spin Rate

Spin Rate indicates the revolutions of the golf ball directly after the moment of impact.

Spin rate has a great influence on the total height and distance of a stroke. The importance of spin rate is often underestimated, especially in windy conditions.

Smash Factor

Smash Factor is the ratio between ball speed and club head speed.

Smash Factor indicates how much energy was converted into ball speed from the club head speed used.

Club Speed

The club head speed determines the maximum potential stroke length of a golfer.

It is the speed of the club just before impact. More club head speed leads to more potential carry length.

Ball Speed

Ball Speed is the speed of the ball immediately after the moment of impact.

Ball speed is triggered by club head speed and impact momentum. Impact moment positions of the ball towards the heel or toe of the club will reduce the ball speed.

Dynamic Loft

Dynamic Loft is the loft of the club at the moment of impact.

The angle of impact, the flex of the shaft, the golfer's release, whether the clubface is open or closed and where the ball was hit on the clubface can all influence the dynamic loft of the club.

Club Path

Club Path is the direction in which the club is moving (left or right) at the moment of impact.

A positive number means that the club moved to the right at impact. (from "inside" for a right-handed golfer). A negative number means that the club moved to the left at impact. (from "outside" for a right-handed golfer).

Attack Angle

The angle of impact describes the direction in which the club is moving (up or down) at the time of impact.

Strikes from the ground should have a negative angle of impact. This way the ball is hit first and then the ground. However, players with less club head speed should not create too steep (negative) an angle of impact with their irons.

Carry

Carry is the pure flight length of the ball.

An important side note is that the carry value corresponds to the value of the ball at the same height from which it was hit. This allows the golfer to adapt to uphill and downhill situations on the golf course.

Face Angle

Face Angle is the face position at the moment of impact (pointing left or right).

A positive number means that the clubface was pointing to the right of the target at impact ("open" for right-handed golfers). A negative number means that the clubface was pointing to the left of the target at impact ("closed" for right-handed golfers).
